Techcom, the Graphic Communication Institute (GCI)
technical department, offers printers and their suppliers complete
printability expertise. Acting as an integrated printshop from
prepress to finishing, the Institute features a range of machines
complemented by ink, paper, printability and color laboratories
equipped with latest generation technology. Techcom’s activities

Standardizing
the viewing
conditions
of a print
Color management is simply not a matter of using measuring tools and software. Eye also has a part to play. Whatever color management system you use, eye will always remain the final judge of rendering and color reproduction accuracy.
The major disadvantage inherent to the human eye is its sensitivity to changes in its environment. When calibrating the graphic production line to maximize control of color reproduction, standardizing the lighting becomes essential.
